Hi guys! Back again with another tasty food post. This time, I will be reviewing about one of Dapura Mia's in-house specialties that I know you are always excited for, which are the heavenly sumptuous spring rolls!  😍😍

Usually eaten as snacks, spring rolls are made from a very thin dough and filled with abundant amounts of vegetables, ground meats, rice vermicelli, or anything as you desired. They can be deep fried for extra crunchiness or steamed to make it softer.

Spring rolls have been existed for a very long time. It is believed that the origin of spring rolls comes from the eastern and western China before Tang Dynasty (618-907 A.D). In this period, people started to make wheat wrappers with fillings from fresh vegetables that have been harvested in the first spring crop. Why must it be wrapped? Because it is more convenient for people such as farmers and hunters to carry around the food, while doing their activities.

As its popularity increased, spring rolls were commonly served as spring gifts for people to give their families and relatives during Chinese Spring Festival. Since the shape of spring rolls resemblances a lot of gold bars, eating spring rolls during the spring festival is mandatory for those who seek prosperity and wealth.

There are many kinds of spring rolls in the culinary industry now. Besides the Chinese version of spring rolls, Thailand, and Vietnamese spring rolls are also well known for their variety of fillings, including prawns, mushrooms, shredded carrots and even crab meats. Each region and country in Asia has different preferences with the fillings for their own spring rolls.

Despite the uncertainty, every spring roll tastes amazing when paired with a perfect sauce. For spice lovers, a sweet and sour mango sauce will create an extra kick that keeps you energized. If you prefer something milder, sweet peanut sauce will help to neutralize the heavy taste that comes from the fillings.

In Dapura Mia, we made tasty spring rolls that leave people craving for more. Don't miss the chance to have the taste of our special product, complimented with variants of delicious dipping sauces. If you want to know more, please kindly drop us a message at the link below. See ya!
